One of my favorite
spots to get away to
is Lake Erie
When my kids were little
my husband would take them
here to Marblehead Lighthouse
Light keepers House
and they would navigate
among the rocks
watch boats
sometimes just looking out
and pondering
at the water crashing
and look
for the different fossil shapes
in the rocks
Fossils
?coral
?fish
? mollusk
? Vertebrae
? crustacean
there is a comfort in the fact
that some things don't change
nothing better than sitting at the lake shore and listening to the waves.
