I've Been Boo-ed - Boo Hoo

I've Been Boo'ed!

Sue from Sullivan and Murphy is the culprit!

There’s a Halloween spirited  game of tag going around in the bloga sphere
that was started by Toni @ The Tattered Cottage.
When you get “Boo-ed,” you pass along your greetings to four friends,
then link up with Toni on her blog.
Here’s the poem she sent off to her friends….

The air is cool, the season is fall,
Soon Halloween will come to all.
Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore...
Tricky witches at your door.
The spooks are after things to do,
In fact, a spook brought this "BOO" to you.
The excitement comes when friends like you,
Copy this note and make it two.
We'll all have smiles on our faces,
When we see who Boo-ed whose places.

So now it's time for me to do something witch-y
chosing just 4 people has been difficult!
I’m sending my Big Bad Boo off to:

Ashley at Daddy's Duty
http://daddysduty.blogspot.com/

We became friends as neighbors when we lived in Utah - we shared a duplex.
My daughters babysat her daughter and her husband was indirectly one of my husbands troops (my hsb was his bosses boss)  Ashley and her family hold a special place in my heart and always will

Heather at Rue's Peanut Butter and Jelly Life
http://ruespeanutbutterandjellylife.blogspot.com/
Heather shares my love of renovating old houses, military families  and small town life.

Shelia at Note Songs
I can always count on her comments on my blog - and they always end in be a sweetie!
So now it;s your turn to be a sweetie and boo someone else!

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life
another person I can depend on to leave me a comment and words of encouragement

There are so many people I follow
and
enjoy reading daily
Thanks Sue for booing me!

Please keep the fun going by following these instructions.

1. You have 24 hours to work your spell.

2. Copy and post the Halloween Boo Poem with the instructions for playing.

3. Pick 4 blogs you enjoying visiting and tell why you enjoy visiting them. Add a link to their blog.

4. Go to the original BOO Party post at The Tattered Cottage
http://wwwthetatteredcottage.blogspot.com/2009/10/boo-party.html
and hook up to Mr. MckLinky.

Make sure the link is to your current post and not your general blog address.

Let's see how fast and far this spreads between now and Halloween.

HAVE FUN AND BOO TO YOU!

What was it? what is it now?

I have quite a few items in progress but this is what I got completed this weekend

It started off as a plain wood holder I'm not sure what it's intended use is
I'm going to use it to display jewelry

I spray painted it with everyone's favorite Heirloom White

Thrifty Finds

Thrifty Finds for this week
Sat we started out at a local Antique show hosted by a  local business Fox Antiques

Penny of Fox Antiques

Sherri Mash of Sherri Mash Photograhy
She did my dtrs Sr photos and they are beautiful!

Please check out her blog at

My friend Becky modeling one of the many vintage items she has in her booth:

Don't you just love the hat and cape combo:

A few of the other booths -  I'm thinking abt having my own booth at the Spring Show

At this show I got quite a few vintage Christmas Cards at .25 a piece and vintage Christmas Carol Booklets for .50 a piece which I plan on matting and frame some of these.
I also got a small round tray for $5:

We then went to Hara Arenas Indoor flea market
we did find some thing but nothing overly exciting

I got a piece of jewelry that I will repurpose into new jewelry for $2
and the Geshia Girl hat pin holder for $4 to add to my collection

On the way there we passed a Goodwill Outlet in Riverside -
now that peaked our interest so we stopped
right off the bat we found an armiore for $20.
We have been looking for something for the family room so we can move the nice tv/armoire to the living room and make the family room one for gaming.

We also got a chair for $5 that I will refinish - either black or white

The thing with the the outlets is that they have these rolling tabled with bins, you must sort threw a lot of junk to find stuff - but the great thing is that the prices is by the pound! Household is .79 a pound for 1-49 lb  then .59 Glass ware is .59 lb.

It is a very very dirty job and you have to be careful cuz there are broken pieces.
I found a lot of nice items - but bring gloves and hand sanitzer

I got so many items - I got 10 doiles - for $3
Sign for .30   Basket .30  5 pieces Silverware 1.50

We got all the items in the above 2 pixs for $20
