It's Fall

I have been looking at everyone’s great Fall décor and thought I better get crackin
I’ve been slowly putting things out and I keep hoping I’ll get motivated to get the rest of it out. My house is done mostly in Autumn colors so it feels decorated already – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
It seems like since the kids are all grown and gone I don’t find myself as much into decorating. When the kids were younger we went all out in the yard - tombstones, bones, bubbling cauldrons, stuffed scarecrows with mice coming out of everywhere. We are talking about digging it all out this weekend and put them out.

When they were real young and we were broke I made the following out of painted soup cans and clay pots– it was when Cheryl Ball was on Aileen’s Craft Show
Devon loved these McD’s chicken finger toys She must’ve changed them around a bizzillion times! I want to see how long it takes before she changes them now!
Of course there were the different school and scout items.
Unfortunately, some were to flimsy to survive the years
The buffet is a perfect place to display items
There are witches and bats........
........Ghosts and Goblins
Scarecrows and pumpkins
hanging out on the hutch
Now if the rain will stop long enough for us to decorate outdoors.......

  4. Oh, everything looks just gorgeous. I don't do a lot of Halloween decorating, but when Christmas comes I will get busy. I love the cans and the clay pots, they are just the cutest and the ones they made at school are also sooooo special. Love them all. Hugs, Marty

  6. What sweet decorations. Things were always so much funner when the kids were little, but now we have grandbabies to look forward too.

Thanks for sharing your treasures. Please stop by and say hello.

  8. How nice that you still have some decorations left from when the kids were still young, Jo! I think all of Dan's were tossed out when they, too, fell apart. I hope the weather stays nice here, because I want to set out a few Halloween displays in a few weeks. I do still have something he made while in scouts.
    Have a good weekend.

  12. Adorable Halloween decorations. Your plan sounds good too. Mine is just the opposite, I did a few decorations outside and now for a few inside. You have a great blog, I'll be your newest follower.
