Outlet

I went to Goodwill Outlet
this weekend
yes there is actually a
place called Goodwill outlet
I blogged abt it here

You pay buy the pound
so I take the price
and divide it by the items
for the cost
Each item was $1.50

the wallpaper was pieces
some were longer than others
the photo doesn't show
the true color
it has more of a gold sheen to it

I might even cover this case
with it some of my dtrs mail
still comes to the house so
I am going to put this
one the chair in the foyer
and put her mail in it

It will need a major clean up
I'm not sure how old it is

I also got this stand
it was priced for $2

I will be spray painting

We stopped at Kohl's
these plates were orginally 11.99

on sale for 3.41
and I had 15% off
so they ended up
2.90

  8. The suitcase is just like one in the set my parents gave me when I went off to college 40 years ago! Who knew they would become collectables!

  9. I know I've driven by a Goodwill Outlet store somewhere in this area, but can't remember where. I do enjoy the regular Goodwill stores and now I know how they get rid of things that sit around in the store for a while...they move them to the outlet and sell by the pound! I'll have to find that store now. You did well! Your blog header is adorable!

  13. This is my first visit to your blog and what a treat is has been. I actually saw a suitcase exactly yours today at out “antique-thrift” store, but it was the ordinary greenish blue. But to have a Goodwill outlet store...that is unbelievable. Boy, do I wish we had one here in Lexington. The whole layout of your blog is so inviting and whimsical. I will be back to see you again. Great post.

  16. I have never seen a Goodwill outlet. I would love going there. You found some great stuff. I love the plates too. Kohl's is my favorite place to shop besides Goodwill. However, we moved to a small town and we don't have a Kohl's here. sigh!

Post the makeover on the suitcase and plate rack stand. Smile.

    Hugs, Jeanne

  17. An outlet? How cool is that? Great scores too. I really like the old suitcase...I am going to guess from the 60's hard to tell though. Can't wait to see what you do with it all. You can share on my Before and Afer party in two weeks. Enjoy the weekend. Debbie

  19. Bargains, once again! I always like old suitcases. Seeing yours reminded me that I have one stashed in the storage room in the garage. I bought it at a yard sale and forgot about it! Now this is when I realize I have way too much stuff. I don't even miss what I have bought. yikes...
Can't believe you still have your bumps. Hope all goes well with your daughter's move back home.
