Malabar Inn

On our way home from vacation
we stopped at
the historic Malabar Inn for lunch

located within Malabar State Park
, it is a restored "stagecoach" inn built in 1820.
Today, the inn is state-owned and offers home-cooked meals

My hsb had

BAYOU MEATLOAF
Two slices of home-made meatloaf
with andouille sausage in the middle.
 Topped with mushroom sauce.

I had
CROQUE MONSIEUR SANDWICH
A traditional French Sandwich
served hot on grilled baguette bread
with grilled ham and melted fontina cheese.

There is a produce stand next door
