About 3/4 of the stuff that comes into the thrift store I manage is unsellable - dirty, broken, out of style etc. but some days fun things come in that are unique, and something I just HAVE TO HAVE. LOL. Unfortunately this can be a work hazard - especially to your wallet. I plan to put these items in my kitchen but not exactly sure where, probably on top of my cabinets.
This platter was $2
This coffeepot for $1.50
( it has a crack on the bottom so it can't be used for coffee only decoration )
Teacups for $1
The most unique thing abt this teacup is that you can see thru it
I haven't ever seen one like it- has any one else?
It really is cool. I havn't seen one that you can see through either. How fun. All of your treasures are gorgeous. You found some real beauties. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteThose are the coolest teacups! I've never seen anything like it. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin had a tea cup that you could see a face in the bottom of the cup - it was a geisha I do believe. Ever since then I'd always held tea cups up to the light to see if their was a picture in them -- I'd never seen another one until now!! How totally cool! Polka dots!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty finds. The see through tea cup is very unique. I've never seen anything like it either. Love the coffee pot---even with a crack it will be pretty just sitting there to enjoy.

ReplyDeleteHi: I just love that pedestal cup. It is so beautiful. Thank you so much for being a part of Tea Cup Tuesday. It really would not be the same without your beautiful things. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I used to own some of that Chinese dishware, it was exactly the same. I loved how you could see through it. I bought mine in an Asian market, twenty years ago. I don't have it anymore though.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with us today!
Hugs,
Terri
Yes, that is really cool! Great find!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty treasures!! You manage a Thrift Store!! Now that would be a great job but it could end up being very expensive. I run a church flea market and end up writing a hefty check to the church for my buys!!
ReplyDeleteYou can do a floral arrangement in the cracked coffee pot!!
Debbie
