My dtrs gave me this brass set
for Christmas one year
It has been looking shabby
and not fitting into the room
So I decided to freshen it up
Now.......
The magic of Oil Rubbed Bronze
I know the photos look like pewter
Thanks Sue from
for her post abt ORB
I like the pewter look but feel sad for the brass. Kind of like painting oak woodwork.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing transformation! Love the pewter look!
ReplyDeleteWas this spray paint?
ReplyDeleteyes it is spray paint rustoleum brand
ReplyDeleteNice outcome! I used some ORB this past weekend and was happy with the results as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing difference! I like it! I do not know if I would have had the courage to paint the brass. I have a few brass pieces that I have been thinking about painting white but have been hesitant. Now, after seeing yours, I may just go ahead and do it.

See, I told you this paint was amazing!! Your set looks great and so refreshed. Why are so many people afraid of painting brass? It's not as if it's a precious metal or anything? LOL You've been a busy gal taking all those gorgeous pictures at the conservatory.
ReplyDeleteStay cool! hugs, Sue
