Tea and Vintage Clothing

This weekend was a busy one!
On Saturday our local historical society had
a tea and vintage clothing show
The proceeding going to
 preserving this clothing items
The tables had different colored
 felt flower placemats
with tulle centers
each table had different teacups
and dessert holders

Some pastries were already on the table

Plate were served with desserts made by
some of the historical society members

60 ladies attended the event

Some of the dresses were on mannequins

Then for the showing of the donated clothing that dated
from the early to late 1800's

A man's waistcoat

A womans summer dress

A woman's caplet
that would've had a matching dress

Two children's garments

The material that was used in this one was called peppermint

This is a child's bodice

later 1800 outfit

The collar on this dress was worn in weddings
for 3 generations
it was laid over different dresses

I even won a door prize
A note pad in the shape of a purse

  12. Hi Jo! Thanks for stopping by my blog and entering my drawing. Your blog is a lot of fun! That luncheon looks delicious, and those antique dresses are gorgeous! I love the farm pics - I've been in love with baby sheep for a while and wish I had some of my own, or even a place to go visit some.
