I have a dilemma
Before Christmas I had a rectangular
map over the fireplace
I never was "in love" with it
more just " in like"
So when Christmas came
and I found
this round Santa
I realized that I would be in love
with something similar
ie round
sooooo
now what is out there
that is this large
and round?
Since there is a mirror in the fireplace
would that be too much?
or maybe?
I've thought abt a clock but I'm not so
sure that it will "go" in a
Victorian cottage
I've thought abt something metal
but I have 2 metal objects in the room
one above the window
and the other over a door
Is there something
I'm not thinking abt?
Any suggestions?
These are all great options; although I agree with you about the clock. My favorite was the one that looks like a flower (bottom-second from right). I like the color and design.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I look forward to seeing what you decide. La
Jo, How about foregoing something large between the ceiling and the fireplace and just adding a collection of plates on top of the fireplace molding ledge? I think it would ground it a little better, since the back of the fireplace is so tall. It would also fill the width of the fireplace. I think carrying anything beyond the height of the doorway molding draws the eye upwards a little too much. Just a thought....
