Dining

There are multiple
restaurants at both resorts
 for every budget

There is a coffee shop and grab and go food
called Xanadu
They also have a lot of tempting sweets

The Café at Sinclair’s is a
sophisticated and refined location
for a luncheon or quiet rendezvous.
It primarily serves breakfast
We didn't eat here

There is Sinclair's
which is an upscale evening eatery

 From the website :
Timeless in its beauty and stylishness,
Sinclair's offers an impressive dinner menu and wine list.
This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner
for two or celebratory dinner for many.
Named for Lee W. Sinclair one of the
original owners of West Baden Springs Hotel.
Sinclair brought sophistication to
southern Indiana and transformed the hotel
into a slice of European elegance in America.
 Located just off the atrium.

We ate here on Sunday Night

Chuck had:
Coquilles St. Jacques
Seared fresh sea scallops served in a creamy white wine
sauce topped with bread crumb gratin
and a mache greens in citrus vinaigrette

 Shrimp and Penne Diavolo
Jumbo shrimp, andouille sausage and sweet corn sautéed
in a spicy red pepper cream, topped with shaved asiago cheese

 I had :
Lobster Bisque
Maine lobster garni and sherry crème fraîche

 Swordfish Provencal
Grilled swordfish with rosemary infused
Israeli couscous,
 provencal vegetables and beurre blanc

It was delicious!!

We had Breakfast at The Colonnade
 which was a breakfast buffet
It is the former ballroom where FDR
received the nomination to run for President in 1932.

 We had dinner one night
at The Power Plant Room
at the French Lick
Simply step through the door and back
in time to understand how the lounge got its name.
The large electrical switchboard that
once supplied electricity for French Lick Springs Hotel
is the focal point of the décor in this hotel eatery.

We were told that we needed
to try the signature
Dome Dessert

The inside is a delicious ganache

I am glad we chose to split it

Around West Baden Springs

 Looking from the
second floor to the lobby

The walk way to the spa and pools

the outdoor pool

Throughout the whole
hotel there are small sitting areas

The library

All the shops, meeting rooms, billards etc
 are off the circular hallways

The Ballards Bar is off one of the  hallways
you can either sit at the bar inside or
use the bar in the atrium
There are tables in the atrium as well
that you can get both food and  drinks

The Billards/TV/Game room
is across from the bar

The old Barbershop
has been turned into a museum
