Now you sea it....

I wanted to make
 a sea glass type necklace
I bought a bag of glass accents
at the Dollar store

I picked out a piece
 that was the size
and shape that would
 work for me

the dilemma
was how to get a hole
in the glass
Then I realized my
Dremel had a glass/ceramic bit

I will tell you
that drilling a hole is a very slowwww
and long process

I did it in between doing other things
once I got the hole in it
 I had some glass baubles

 (thanks to my niece)

added them to the sea glass pendant
added a chain and viola.....

A holiday inspired version....

  1. Very cute - I've thought of doing something similar but didn't have the nerve to try drilling class.

  2. Wow, that turned out really nice. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm doing great right now. Good to see you this weekend.

  3. Wow! Jo! This is gorgeous! You are so talented and gifted to do this!!
Thanks for popping in to see me.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  4. Oh my goodness! These are totally awesome. (And I just sounded like a Valley Girl!)

  5. That pendant caught my eye immediately. Just gorgeous!

  6. This is the one and only reason I want a dremel, but I think it's a bit extravagant if this is all I'll ever do with it.

  7. Very pretty, Jo. Happy Monday! La

  8. Wow! You are one talented gal! I love the necklaces! Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. Have a great day.

  9. Love the color. Love the organic shape and sparkly details.

  10. Those necklaces are beautiful!
I have a suggestion about how to drill glass that will be safer and most likely faster. Use a diamond drill bit. They are not too expensive and come in handy for many projects. Yes you can get one to fit a dremmel no problem. I am Surprised the ceramic bit worked! I have drilled glass a few times and each time it was HARD! Wow! You are STRONG and persistent! Great job! Thanks for sharing!

  11. simple great design. did not know that getting that hole into glass would be so hard... Anyhow, good for you that you persevered as it came out great.

Thank you for contributing it to our DIY Craft Linky party with us. I am extending the party with a new post today and would love to seem more of your lovely creations :0)
