Free Paint Sample

I got my free Valspar sample today

I was impressed on how nice the pkging is

Valspar

They give away 1000 samples 

every day starting at 10 EST

It came with the paint sample

and a small pan

and rollers

It also includes a $5 off cpn

complimentary palette

I'm not sure when it started

but my understanding is it will last 100 days

Even if you don't have a project 

in mind 

you might want to get a sample

for future use

even if its just for frames

I will be using mine

as the accent color on

the outside of my house

In the Nick of Time

Luckily the weather
has cooperated 

and gave us some extra
warm days this month

to get some of the painting
 caught up

I didn't think we would
be able to get the 

trim painted
 until the Spring

Another Step Closer

I've talked abt the problems

we've had with trying to paint

 the front of the house

We have been fighting time but this 

weekend my hsb 

was able to get the fishscales painted

and the house is getting another step closer to 

being how I envisioned it

so far

  I think we are getting close

Family Room Reno

A few yrs ago 

we started working on what 

we call the family room

My hsb

got to learn how to re-plaster 
walls in this room

It was a huge undertaking

He started in 

January

and didn't finish 

until June

The paint we used

is very interesting

the color changes

depending on the light

Then the paint goes up

The interesting thing is 

that depending on the time

of day 

the color looks different

I truly love this room

Fencing

A few years ago we decided

we had had enough 

of not having a fence

Behind our house

is a street

more like an alley

and I was sick of ppl driving by

So my hsb 

got the posts in line

and braced

Since it took both of us

to get the panels up

there are no pix 

of that happening

of course we had our supervisor

Yes that curve was 

a bugger to put up

Even though it was hard to do

I'm sooo glad we did it

No more ppl driving by 

and them window peeking
