Bath time

 Pink

These are very easy to make

I got the old lampshades
at garage sales
and antique stores

using the following

I screwed the nut all the way
up the screw
then added a plastic washer
on the eye screw
so the nut won't scrape the glass
I  then inserted the
eye screw the hole
and used the plastic cap
on the end

I then added
the hanging kit
a viola
it was complete

From one of our readers:

I love the idea, however if your lampshade is too deep,
small birds will actually drown in them,
especially because the glass is so smooth.
A simple and practical fix is to place
 some rounded rocks in the
bottom of the fixture so that the
water level is never more than 1"to 2" deep.
And of course,
the rocks are not too slick,
 so the birds have a
 secure place to stand
and then take flight.

Bag it

I was at Michael's
for something
else and came across
these little green bags
I couldn't believe the price
.29
yes I typed .29 and there
were 2 bags to a pkg!!!!

I glued on
14 in. pieces of ribbon
 with
 Aleene's Tacky Glue

A tutorial

I got the butterfly's
at Hobby Lobby
in a pkg on sale

they have adhesive but
I glued them on
and added the gems

On these
I had flowers
from a pkg
I bought at Walmart
for $1
The pink flowers
were from a bush
I also added gems

The daisies came off
a bush that was
on sale from Michaels
just cut the back off so they
would glue on flat

I will be selling
them at my booth
for $5

Field Journal/Creative Box

I was fortunate enough
to be an elf
for Santa this year

A friend had a dilemma
Her dtr wanted a field journal
like in the Tinkerbell movie

She didn't know where to get one
and she posted it on fb

I've made a lot of journals
so I was up
for a challenge
and offered to help
 or make one

I started off covering the
 front, back and insides
with glittery cardstock
(from Joanns)
I cut the letters
out with Cricut
using the exclusive alphabet
in the craft room
I added a
Tinkerbell Sticker
and gems

I also added ribbon ties

I covered the pocket
with Tinkerbell paper
(from Joanns)

The tag
says:

(from the movie)

I didn't want to over embellish
since this was her creativity
journal
I gathered it all up
in a plastic container
and applied her name
on the outside
(cut out of vinyl
w/Cricut Calligraphy)

I had a lot of extras
I added into the box
and her Mom bought
some doo-dads too

Santa wrapped it up
for delivery
shhhh don't tell anyone
I helped Santas this yr

I haven't heard yet
on her reaction
