Free Paint Sample

I got my free Valspar sample today

I was impressed on how nice the pkging is

They give away 1000 samples
every day starting at 10 EST
It came with the paint sample
and a small pan
and rollers

It also includes a $5 off cpn
complimentary palette

I'm not sure when it started
but my understanding is it will last 100 days

Even if you don't have a project
in mind
you might want to get a sample
for future use
even if its just for frames

I will be using mine
as the accent color on
the outside of my house

Christmas Craft Shopping

I went searching for embellishments
and craft items to do Christmas projects

Michaels has quite a bit in their dollar bins

I found these stamps and ink pads

These stickers

Out of the pkg

The following weren't in the dollar bin

I really liked these
I thought abt putting them on
Christmas ornaments
 but they don't bend easily

There are a lot
of different designs

The one thing I didn't find
was Christmas ribbon
there was only a few spools
Always b/4 they had an whole
side of an isle
but I couldn't find one
at Michaels
and Joann's had even less

Have you been happy
with what is out there
or does it seem like
the marketing its odd??

Fallin for Leaves

I decided just to drop into our towns
Goodwill today
very rarely do they have anything
but I was trying to stay cool
and it was next door to the grocery store
to my surprise I found the following

I flipped them over
and saw this

flipped it back
and saw this

Yup I took both of them!
They are bigger than they look
would be perfect for
putting Thanksgiving rolls in

There also was this small leaf
for $2.99

Tippin' It

On Saturday we went to
Tipp City for their

Antiques and Artisans Day

There were 60 vendors
up and down Main St

The old hotel has been converted
into shops
what were hotel rooms
are now individual "shops:

The Staircase that leads to the
two upper floors

Outside the rooms
there are shop signs

One "shop"

There were a few really nice
cafe/restaurant to chose from
We chose
Harrison's

I got the
Harvest Salad

"A colorful harvest of rows of
red beets, grilled yellow squash
crisp green beans, seasoned sweet corn
salted sunflower seeds and feta cheese
lime and corn tortilla
 encrusted chicken chunks"

My hsb got
All in one

"Like being at a football game
smoked sausage with onion and peppers
on a grilled pretzel bun

I will highlight
some of the shops
(and show you what I bought)
 in my next post

Second Time Around

A couple of weeks ago
I got a few items at an antique store
to complete the top of the cabinet

The cranes match a piece of art work
in the room

I originally thought
that they were carved out of a hard plastic
similar to bakelite
however a fellow blogger Karina
post a comment that lead me to research them
the and I believe
 they might be carved out
of some kind of horn
Thanks to Karina at Thas Nifty
if anyone else has any info
I'd appreciate it

I also found a ceramic bell jar

I think it works it well
