Today I found out

that my first grandchild

that will make her presence known

is a GIRL

I saw this hankie tutorial

Finding Home

and thought 

what a great idea 

for all of the hankies

I have that I don't know 

what to do with

I am not sure

what I will be doing 

with them

but they have been fun to make

Lagoon Table

Last year

I bought this table

at a yard sale

I wasn't sure

what I wanted 

to do with it

One day it 

came to me

my inspiration 

was a can of 

spray paint that 

was given to me

it was 

called Lagoon

after I sprayed it

I was worried 

my vision was 

to top it off 

with a map

I ended up scraping

 the veneer off 

and sanding it

Next came the 

placement of the map

Once I knew the

 placement I cut 

it square

then affixed

 it was modpodge

now I rolled it on and I

squeegeed it so

 it would seal

well.....20 min later........

this appeared....

I was horrified!

my hsb suggested

 I wait until the next day

I was prepared to 

inject glue under the map

the next morning 

there were NO BUBBLES

all I can think is

 it shrunk as it dried

I then sanded the edges off

I then inked 

around the edge 

where I sanded it

I then applied a

 watered down 

bronze glaze

I then sprayed

 it with poly

This table is going 

to Springfield Extravaganza

This is the first time

I will be participating 

at the Springfield Extravaganza

as well as scared

I guess because 

I don't know what to expect

Oh Baby! and grandma advice wanted

Hard to believe my dtr

is now 16 weeks pregnant

She is now starting to really show

and I have to say every week 

I get more and more excited!

I have of course

already been doing some shopping

and since yard sale

season is upon us

I have been scoping 

out all the fun things

out there - 

there are so many

 cool things now for babies

Since we don't know

what the gender is

(Although I have my theories)

we have been sticking

to the green/yellows etc

Seems like so many decisions

to make 

like what kind of playpen 

I mean play yard

or stroller

or should I say

travel systems

so many new terms!

So any advice

for this uninformed

soon to be grandma????
