We knew that one of the layers of paint
was peeling off
it doesn't appear that it
grabbed on to the wood very well
you can see where it is peeling
the one thing we didn't know -
is that some of the fish scale
wood has rotted
so we will have to
use epoxy to bond the wood
and maybe use filler
this job now is more
complicated
why does it seem like
that is always the way!
The blue will be replaced with green
using the middle range colors
the dark blue will be replace with a deep purple (I think)
Can't wait to see pictures after it is completed!

Wow! You sure have a big project ahead of you. I hope you don't find too many more "surprises". Older homes require so much TLC but it is well worth it. I can't wait to see the new paint job.
