Right now, I paste my pics to copy payer and then store them in clear plastic sleeves in old notebooks. I have one for holidays, one for things I want to make and then 2 divided by room (a few rooms in each book) so I can go right to them for quick reference. Any time I've run out of inspiration it only takes a few minutes to get it back when I start going through my notebooks! I honestly never thought of decorating them until now! Awesome post!Lastiqueshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05556753765304076794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657057626513415110.post-66466962385254082652011-02-10T22:26:11.162-05:002011-02-10T22:26:11.162-05:00Hurray! I have something I'm planning to Modge Podge on the cover, but was wondering what to do with the spirals--so this post, your questions, and the resulting comments were perfect! I think your journal is very pretty--and also a great idea. You could take coordinating ribbon, maybe 1/2 inch wide and cut as many 5 or 6 inch pieces as there are spiral loops, then fold each piece in half and loop over each spiral like you would a gift tag. A friend gave me a clipboard like that and it was really cute.missshawnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317024225319400821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657057626513415110.post-16802424806833220102011-02-07T15:35:29.206-05:002011-02-07T15:35:29.206-05:00I love your journal. I love making journals for various things...to have creative ways to store ideas, sketch, etc. For your spiral, you could also weave in some wide ribbon along it. It wouldn't hide it completely, but it would jazz it up and disguise it just a bit at the same time. :)Tinahttp://www.artchickstudio.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657057626513415110.post-58542075295501025412011-02-07T13:18:41.124-05:002011-02-07T13:18:41.124-05:00I think you did a beautiful job!!! :)

As for the spiral, you can cut a strip of sturdy paper or fabric, wide enough to cover the spiral (when book is closed) and overlap about 1/8" over the decorative paper edges of your front and back covers and glue in place. Hope that helps.Joselyn@The DIY Spothttp://thediyspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4657057626513415110.post-82509367886453767632011-02-06T21:10:10.181-05:002011-02-06T21:10:10.181-05:00Very pretty.
