We have Seymour

I think he is a little bit of a cad

Seymour showed up this morning

I think he had a little to much

holiday cheer at the

office Christmas Party

Each day we wondered

what we would find

I thought the box said plush

I'm not sure what Seymour

is doing up at the North Pole

but he may have some issues:

not to mention he is tattling on us?

Looks like he might be on track:

Today we found Seymour

snuggling on the couch

with his new "friend"

Toot...

hmmm I think he needs to be

on Santa's naughty list

Not only is Seymour

checking/designing tats out

but he is using Chuck's Nook

(I don't even get to touch it)

he sure knows how to push it....

I'm not sure what Santa's rules

on tats are...

This hand didn't work out

Went the other night

to pick up a few presents

at a planned

downtown type mall

People live upstairs

In the middle

there was a great

Christmas Tree

Gave me

some holiday spirit

Mini Personalized Ornaments

The inspiration for these came from

Cameron Home Made

I bought these mini canvas'

at Michaels

for me

the trickest part

is figuring out the size

after modpodging I place

a glass for weight

I used a paint chip for the back

I had some letters

but they are hard to

put on

I modpodged

the ribbon along the edges

Added a jewel

Added some gems

added an eye hook

by predrilling

with my dremel

I made a variation

for friends who had

twins this yr

I could see many uses

for these mini canvas'

they also come w mini easels

Christmas Music

Sunday

we went to see

our HS choir

and ensemble sing

at a local church

the alumni also sang

I only took a few photos

I didn't want to disturb the signing with

a click of my camera\

They had a bell ringer

The audience got to sing along

and the church was packed

I had never been in this church

it had a beautiful stain glass window

and they had the candles burning

it was a great way to spend

an afternoon

These are quick
and easy project/presents
esp if you have a few you
need to whip up

I got the idea from:

sock cupcakes at

733blog.blogspot.com

I found these cute

ice cream cone cups

and spa socks

roll the socks from the top to the toe

make sure the heel bump is pulled up

secure the roll with a elastic band

without words

Add bath salts into

plastic bag

in the bottom of the

cone

put sock roll in the cup

inside cup

add a red "cherry"pom

I put them in a bag

and tie with a bow

there are many variations

In a margarita glass

add a salt shaker

with Epsom salt

Grace Baptist Church

This was the original

church

they have built a larger room

and this one is used for weddings

and other services

This stain glass is a Tiffany

is dated 1902

The Cedarville Opera House was originally

constructed in 1886 and became the center

of community life for over 60 years.

It hosted many musical, educational,

theatrical, and even political programs.

In 1956, because of greater accessibility

and interest in outside entertainment,

the Opera House closed its doors

and was not used for the next 30 years.

Netted Ornaments

I've been busy making

beaded netting ornaments

For this one I used this pattern

BUT

depending on you beads

you may have to adjust

on the last row instead of 3

I ended up using 8 otherwise

it would've been far to tight

I'm trying to use beads

I have on hand

the lg pink pearlized ones

came from a vintage necklace

The clear ones are glass

I used pink and pearlized seed beads

Once you get the hang

of this pattern it takes abt

an hr to complete

The nice thing

is you can change

the ornament

for different color combos

this is the same netting

on 2 different balls

This house was

the home to a local Dr

originally there was a door

from the outside to a waiting room

which now is a large bathroom

the door in the foyer was

the outside door

The floor is tiger eye oak

the center is pine

(they cut costs here because

they thought that

ppl would put carpet over it)

while standing in the foyer

(they use this room as an office)

The dark strip is the pine

I thought she had made it but

she told me no

Since my living room

As most of you know

I really enjoy

digital scrapbooking

and making collages

Recently, I was contacted by

My Memories,

a digital scrapbooking software
company.

They asked if I would like to review

After checking out

their website

and blog, I agreed.

this is their

brand new version!

With over 1,500 papers,

over 1,000 page elements,

Anyone can create

digital scrapbooks,

photobooks, cards

calendars,

without having to

buy expensive

and complicates software

I played around with it

and I have to say I didn't

want to stop

but since I had a ton'

of holiday things

I should be doing I did...

This pg was done in less than 5 min!

I even had to check out the help
and search screen
to see how to save as a jpg
It showed me
as well as told me
how to do it

I decided to add a calendar
- which was way to easy!

This one took me a little longer
using their papers
and embellishments
I had the page done
in less than 30 min
(most of that was decision
making time!)

I just loved this idea

from

A Diamond in the Stuff

I Spy Ornaments

I just had to make some!

I got the plastic ornaments

(child safe)

and little tree ornaments

from Michael's

they were all on sale

I had Epsom Salts on hand

I snipped the hangers off the little ornaments

I started with scissors

but I couldn't get close enough

so I ended up using

wire cutters

I put the ornaments in the ball

then added epsom salts

I did find it easier

to alternate ornaments and salt

I glued the top on

and added a colorful bow

Don't forget to include

a list of what they

are looking for!

Yes it was that easy!!!

The other day

as I was walking past

my upstairs room

I saw something

that caught my eye

I had to take a closer look

and bring my camera

cuz I couldn't believe

the birds were actually

holding on to the screen

some were sitting and peering on from the ledge

I also saw a different

bird other than the usual

chickadee and sparrow

I believe this might be

some sort of woodpecker

The sparrows weren't

hospitable

and neither was the new bird.....

This necklace
is antique gold finish
swirl paper clips
and alternating
heart shaped paperclips

I added gold tone pearl beads

The following necklace used

different metal finishes

bronze tone, copper tone,

a green tone and gold tone

with silver tone metal knots

in between

I've been using paintchips

as display

This one uses

2 sizes of round paper clips

and one swirl clip

the color is an antique gold finish

Believe it or not I have

many more paperclip

My niece wanted these
for her laundry room
The designs are from
The Graphics Fairy

Measure the size
of the muslin I needed

and cut it

I printed the design

on the transfer paper and cut

a slight border around the design

I centered the design

and ironed it on according to

the directions

and carefully pulled the paper off

I first hot glued it on the the back of the canvas

trimmed the edge

then used a staple gun

I used a staple gun ..and I liked it!

I then used double sided tape

around the edge

and covered it with brown paper

(sorry forgot to take a photo)

It is bittersweet

as happy as I am to have my son

home there are many other

mothers waiting for their children

The Secret Garden

A few weeks ago

we stopped at

The Secret Garden

in Waynesville Ohio

We weren't sure

exactly what it was

and pleasantly surprised

There is a cottage home

and across was the start of the garden

From their website:

For a truly unique shopping experience

come walk the brick pathways

through our wooded garden

while soft music fills the air.

The Secret Garden offers

You will find concrete statuary;

wrought iron pieces;

gazing globes; fountains; garden orbs

and so much more.

There is a barn

that has some

vintage pieces

The art pieces on

the barn can be left outside

These doors and windows

are for sale

I fell in love with

these windows

and I'm almost certain

there will be at least on

in my back yd next year

I think we will adapt

it though

and have decorative posts

with lattice on the bottom

This was made out

of yard utensils

these pumpkins were all over

The Bird House Retail Shop

specializes in birding items

for the birding enthusiasts.

These were in the cottage

I thought they were

very pretty

but were to much

for my pocketbook

They have a lot of unique

items

They have a wedding chapel

on the premises:

"Secluded, romantic, and uinquely set

in a natural environment nestled

deep in the woods,

our Chapel In The Woods

creates a picture perfect setting

for a small intimate

wedding ceremony"

There also is a

fire pit type area

What a beautiful place

to have a ceremony

It was a very peaceful place

to walk around

and I know we will be back

I have been wanting to make this

for awhile

but unable to find doll shoes

Who would've thought

they were that hard to find???

I had found some plastic

chain on clearance

I used my dremel

to drill through

the shoes

that needed it

Attached them with rings

connected it together

and it is complete

Finally found a few shoes

at GW outlet

I would love to be able

to find more

they don't even

have to be pairs

who knew

they would be

so difficult to find???

2nd time around

My new "old" cart

I got this cart at GW outlet

for $2

I wasn't sure what

I was going to do with it

I just thought it was cute

but not really into the pink

soooooo

I decided to crackle finish it

I thought copper as the base

until I put it on and didn't like it at all

way too pink

so a used a brown

since I wanted it aged looking

I wasn't overly careful

in painting

I then put the crackle finish

and once it dried applied

Heirloom White

paint

Viola it started

cracking right away

I had a few flubs

I had to go over

but in the end

that made it

look more aged

I painted the wheels heirloom

crackle

then

ochre color

I don't usually

like crackle finish

but I thought it

would look better

as an aged piece

I plan to use it

to display items

when I have

my craft booth
